What we are building
The project began as Product Statement Builder: a guided worksheet for product marketers and founders who need to draft and share a clear positioning statement. Product Statement is the broader resource; Product Statement Builder remains the free tool.
The initial learning collection focuses on founders and small software teams. Product marketers can use the same exercises in team discussions and launch planning.
How to read our material
- Practical guidance: our exercises help make choices visible. References are linked where they inform the approach.
- Fictional examples: products such as Patchwork and Intake Lane are teaching inventions. Their capabilities and outcomes are assumptions, not case-study results.
- Brand analysis: interpretations are labelled and linked to public sources with observation dates. They are not official company positioning statements.
- Authorship: Product Statement publishes the guides and exercises. The byline links here so readers can check how we use sources and examples.
We update dates when an article’s guidance changes substantially. Source observation dates record when we checked the public material.
What the builder does
It organizes your own words into a structured positioning statement, with one labelled section for each choice. Your wording and punctuation stay intact; only whitespace around an entry is removed. You can copy text, make a share link, or export a statement card without an account.
Statement editing and image generation happen in your browser. Share links contain the entered text in the URL fragment; anyone you give the link to can read it. Keep a copy of your draft before closing the page. See the privacy policy for analytics and consent details.
